Biography

Welcome to my website and thank you for spending time with me.

I lived most of my early years in a London suburb where I studied, married, and in 1974 moved on to North Wales where I had three children. I now live in Shropshire and began to write about six years ago.

In adulthood I developed epilepsy and that is what first inspired me to write. Poetry became an escape from living within the confines of a misunderstood illness. I am now more able to embrace life and draw inspiration from the world in a far broader sense. Much of what I write is from personal experience and influenced by family, love, the world and its needs.

In my youth I took up singing. It was my talent and I hoped I would follow that calling. Life didn’t turn out as planned but poetry has now become my voice.
